MCS Introduces Automated Air Cargo Clearance System




The Maldives Customs Service has introduced Automated Air Cargo Clearance System, an automated processes for handling air cargo clearance. In a ceremony held this morning. the system was introduced by Customs Minister, Minister of Homeland Security and Technology, Mr. Ali Ihusaan.


After the launch of the automated air cargo clearance system, Minister Ali Ihusaan highlighted the notable enhancement, that this system will bring about as previously, the Customs clearance process took two days to complete, while now it will only take a few of hours. He also emphasized H.E.President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's commitment to delivering seamless public services, indicating that the streamlined system aligns with the President's objectives.


 


The new automated system offers advantages such as enabling customers to retrieve information by entering a unique number provided by the Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) on the Customs Portal. This streamlined process replaces manual paperwork and verification of owner information with automated procedures.
