Importers

Corpse

 

For the purpose of importing corpses into the Maldives, the form requesting to import corpses (MCS-130 Application for the Importation of Dead Bodies to the Country) must be submitted to Customs along with the following documents issued by a competent authority of the exporting country.

 

 ·         Death certificate

 ·         Police report

 ·         Passport copy of the deceased

 ·         Responsible person’s ID/Passport copy

 ·         “Custom Release Permit” from the exporting country’s Customs  

 

For the purpose of importing corpses, submission of goods declaration and import duty payment is not required.
