Bonded Warehouse

 

 

Any party wishing to register a bonded warehouse should present the following documentation .

 

Bonded Warehouse Registration form MCS-155 Application for Registration and Cancellation

Original  and a copy of Company's Registration Certificate

If previously registered, original and a copy of Registration Certificate of the Bonded Warehouse.

Original and a copy of Contract of Agreement between the building's landlord/owner

 

 

The following documents must be submitted if registration is required for an individual/company

 

Company’s board of directors’ /individual's valid National Identification Card (ID card) original and copies

If the Board of Directors include foreign individuals, original and a copy of their valid work permit or work permit card

 

 

After the registration process has been completed, a minimum of 1 (one) Bond Keeper must be registered within a period of 10 days from the date of registration.

 

Under special circumstances, an application may be accepted with only copies of National ID or Work permit. However, the license will only be released upon the submission of their originals. 

 

Bonded Warehouse Registration will be complete within 7 working days from the date of submission. 

 

 

 

*Note: Original documents will be immediately returned after verification.

 

 

 

Fees

 

 

This service will be charged in accordance with the Fees stated in the Annex 36 of Customs General Regulation as per the following:

 

a) Monthly charges for 20ft Container registered as a bonded warehouse	MVR 1,000/-
b) Monthly charges for 40ft Container registered as a bonded warehouse	MVR 2,000/-
c) Monthly charges for bonded warehouses measuring less than 400 sq.ft	MVR 1,000/-
d) Monthly charges for any bonded warehouses other than those mentioned in (a), (b) and (c) per sq.ft	MVR 2/50
